So St Joe got a clever lead of three runs in the first inning and thus encouraged they went after the scalps of the visitors and never let up until the St. Ignatius chaps with a big reputation were let down in th* ninth frame. Hassar pitched a fine game, passing but one man, striking out ten and tightening up at critical times, but in the Bth round the visitors scored 3 runs on a couple of bad errors. When St. Joe took the bat in the Bth every player took a rap at the ball and before the curtain, was rung down they hadmadeflv*tallies, giving them a total of 11.
