IN MEMORIAM

At a regular meeting of the directors of the First National 4 Bank of Rensselaer, Indiana, held on the 6th day of May, 1008, 4 at the banking office, a full membership being present, the fol- 4 lowing resolutions were adopted: 4 Whereas, our esteemed and respected business associate and 4 friend, has by death been separated from us, after having served 4 continuously as a member of our Board and as President of this 4 bank since its organisation on April 2, 1895, and whereas we recog- 4 nlse his invaluable services to this bank during these years, his un- 4 tiring seal and devotion to its upbuilding and . maintalnance; bis 4 keen and careful judgment on questions of business policy, and 4 his steadfast and zealous co-eperatlon with us in the active dlrec- 4 tlon and management of its affairs, Be it resolved, 4 That we deeply deplore his death, that we shall miss his 4 che r rful and helpful companionship and his invaluable advice 4 | and counsel, that we had come to depend upon his good judg- 4 ’ mnet for guidance, that we now as ever ascribe to him the 4 i highest mete of praise, honor, and credit as a successful business 4 ! man, a firm and strong counsellor, an enterprising citzen, a 4 1 good and helpful neghbor and a thoughtful, considerate husband 4 1 and father. 4 > That as a testimonial of the esteem In which we hold his 4 > memory, we do spread these resolutions of record; that copies be 4 • furnished to the family of our departed friend, and to the local 4 » press for publication. 4 I JOHN M.
