Temperance Sunday
Next Sunday, May 3rd, Rev. George j E. Hicks, district superintendent of the anti-saloon league, will be with the churches of Rensselaer. He will speak at the M. E. church in the morning. In the afternoon at 3 o’clock he will address a men’s meeting at the Presbyterian church, to which all men and boys, together with the members of the good citizens’ league, are requested to be present.
At night there will be a big union meeting at the Christian church. Rev. Hicks is an excellent speaker, well qualified both by education and experience for his work. The success the league has been having in its work, together with the strong antiliquor sentiment that Is sweeping over the land, should give the League’s representative a most cordial reception. The reular services will be held In all the churches on Sunday morning.
REV. GEORGE E. HICKS.
