Some Gray Whiskered Knights.
The Knights of Pythias lodge is often referred to as the “young men’s” lodge, and while the young men do seem to take to it with great readiness occasionally you will see some of the older men who have kept up their Interest through long years of active service. Tuesday night at the K. of P. banquet here John J. Porter and John R. Wilson, of Remington, were among the most conspicuous of "the visiting brothers, men who had won the honors of knighthood years ago and who have been Instrumental in building up the large and enthusiastic order at Remington. i By the way, both of these men were delegates to the republican state convention at Indianapolis, and along with the other delegates of the coun-i ty, among them Walter Porter, and S, R. Nichols, of Rensselaer, helped whoop ’em up for James E. Watson for governor. And both of the Remington visitors stayed here over night and put in a little time Wednesday visiting their acquaintances here and some how they seemed to like to get the Rensselaer delegates off in a corner and hash over the affairs of the convention. And while they helped clean up the candidate we we e interested in, we guess they nominated a mighty well qualified man and we’re in for electing him. Man Zan Pile Remedy. Price 60c is guaranteed.
