Married a Couple from Holland.
Esquire Irwin marred a couple right from the banks of the Rhine, in Holland. The bride was in this country for the first time, having come here about two weeks ago to see her brother, Peter Van Lear and wife. The groom had formerly lived In this country, but had gone back to his native country and while there he met Miss Van Leer, whom he induced to come to America and to become his wife. They decided not to get married until they reached Rensselaer, and there their long Journey from Holland was made with that Intention. The groom’s name was William Grasshouse and the bride’s Jenn’e Van Lear. He Is 41 years of age and she Is 37. It was the first marriage for each. The wedding took place In the clerk’s office. The expect to reside on a farm.
