St. Joe Won First Game.

The Logansport high school baseball team was too weak to put up much of a showing against St. Joseph’s College team, and the college therefore opened its season with an easy victory, score 7 to L It should have been an easy shut out for St, Joe, for Hassar and Nagelisen struck out 16 of the visitors and Hassar let them down without a safe hit It was too bad to lose this chance to have a “no hit; no| run” game to their credit, but Hassar himself was mainly responsible for it, for he made a wild throw In trying to get a base runner who had taken a lead off second and before the ball could b© returned from the outfield the runner had scored. • St. Joseph looks real good in tbe early 3earon and will doubtless put up a fine article of ball this year. Their next game is to be with Wheatfield at Wheatfield next Saturday.
