Fred McKay is quite seriously sick. Noah Spece is moving his family to Cedar Lake. 1 The base ball season has opened up here in full blast. Preaching at the Christian church at 11 a. m. by Rev. Carnes. Some of the Mt. Ayr boys are making weekly calls in Fair Oaks. Wilber Smith and wife, of Elwood, are visiting with N. A. McKay. Mrs. F. R. Erwin has quite an extensive display of millinery goods. Alva Brohard and family have returned from a week’s visit in Boone county. Mrs. Winslow, of Morocco, is here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Charles Barker. Mrs. Cottingkam is having some improvements, made in and around the hotel. Ten of the Bth grade pupils went over to Parr Saturday to take the examination. ‘ Oscar Atwood and wife have commenced housekeeping in the northwest part of town. . Milt Gundy has moved into the City Hotel and gave a house wanning the first night. t Oliver Brohard and family have moved into the house formerly occupie by Milt Gundy. ■ School closes this Wednesdayevening, after a very satisfactory term of seven months. Mrs. Wiliam Warren and son Bert have been in Illinois for several weeks attending and helping to carry on meetings. Several of our young people were invited to trip the light fantastic toe on Mrs. C. A. Gundy’s dining room floor Saturday night
