Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 40, Number 57, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 20 March 1908 — Page 1 Advertisements Column 2 [ADVERTISEMENT]
Advertisers are Liked. Some folks may think th&t none but publishers think much of men who advertise. In this they are sadly mistaken. Nearly every man in the country, especially most of those who own any property, have- a big place in their hearts for the advertiser. The reason is plain enough to people who stop and think. It is ah admitted fact that no country will advance without newspaper representation. It is equally as certain that papers limited to a county patronage cannot be run on subscription money alone. This brings matters down to the self evident proposition that there would be no country newspapers if there were no advertisers. Of course the people like firms who are helping maintain institutions which have done as much for the development of their country and the advancement of their land values as have the newspaper.—-Wolcott Enterprise. ./,
