Sentorial Convention Friday.

The district senatorial conventions for the counties of Jasper, Newton> White and Starke will take place at Monticello Friday of this week and the convention promises to be a quite spirited one. There are two candidates, A. Halleck, of Rensselaer, and Dr. S. I. Brown, of Knox. There are 31 votes in the district, apportioned by comities as follows: White 11; Jasper 7, Newton 7, Starke 6. Sixteen votes will be necessary to choice, and it looks like our townsman would land the nomination and his many friends here are hoping that he will and probably quite a large number will go over to Monticello to. help boom his candidacy.
