Jerry Miller Fined $1 and Costs.

Jerry Miller, of Gillam township, was arrested by Constable Oliver Robinson and brought to Rensselaer Tuesday,- where he was fined 1 and costs for having failed to bury a horse after it died? permitting it to decay on the land where he formerly lived, west of Giffdrd. Miller moved this spring and left the dead horse on the farm he moved from. He went there the day before he was arrested and buried the animal, and stated at the trial that he knew he had left it longer that ho should, tjut he had been prevented from returning sooner by the high water. This statement seemed to be _ believed by all who heard him, but he admitted the guilt under the law and the minimum fine was assessed, but it totaled $14.60. James E. Meyers made the complaint.
