Allman and children, of Rensselaer, visited relatives here Saturday night and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Paxton, of Urbana, came Wednesday of last week to visit her father, J. K. Stoudt. Mrs. Ella Parks and son Clarence attended the wedding of Burly Parks at Mentone last week. F. R. Curtis, O. P. Tabor and C. T. Dye left Tuesday of last week to lotok after their Texas land. J. W. Jacks died a,t the home of. his son Charles in Wichita,* Kans., Feb. 11, at the age of 71 years. Miss Katherine Carmody came homefrom Clifton, 111., last week to visit mother for a few days. Mrs. Pothusje, of Goodland, visited, her sister, Mrs. Hardesty, from Monday until Thursday of last week. Geo. Capes, of Idaville, visited his relatives Wednesday and Thursday and attended the Gilbert-Wood wed* ding. On Wednesday night of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Gilbert occurred "marriage of their daughter, Hazel, to Mr. Geo. Wood. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bellows, of Rensselaer, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Murphy, of Chicago, attended the Gilbert-Wood wedding Wednesday of last week. The Misses Estella and GraceWashbTOther, James Washbum, and atburn, of Earl Park, visited their brother, James Washbum, and attended the Gilbert-Wood wedding. Mrs. Frank Mori’ow, of Rensselaer, has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary Jordan, the past three weeks, while Mr. Morrow has been in Oklahoma visiting his brother Birt Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hackley and Cash Dobbins returned home from Texas Friday of last week, where they have been spending the winter. Bom, to Mr. and Mrs. Al Shaull, of Terhoma, Okla., Feb. 14, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Oat Heath, Marlon, Ind.; Feb. 15; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Johnson, Yale, Okla., Feb. 14, a daughter. ’ Mr. James Peck and Miss Kate Meehan were married by Rev. Father Myers at Rensselaer on Thursday of last week. They: commenced housekeeping at once in the house recently vacated by his brother Maurice. — —— X -: . .... On Wednesday evening of last week Mr. Burly Parks and Miss Lula Jennings were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s'parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Jennings, at Mentone. The happy couple came Thursday evening for a visit with his relatives here.
