John W. Jacks Is Dead.
J no. W. Jacks, a former resident of this place, died at the home of his son Charles, in Wichita, Kans., Feb. 11th. He was born in White county, May 24, 1837, and was therefore nearly 71 years old at the time of his death. His parents were among the first settlers of White county and he was born near Lee. He moved to Kansas in 1884 and he has made that state his home since that time. He was married three times and his widow now lives in Remington. Mr. Jacks was a brother of Thos. Jacks, of Remington, and an uncle to Mrs. True Woodworth and Alfred Jacks, of this place.
