The next number of the lecture course will be Ople Read, the author, and It will doubtless draw a very large crowd. The date is next Monday evening, and it will held at the Christian church. Persons who have read Mr. Read's writings and that includes a large part of the population of any community, feel a keen interest in the man that can paint so natural —»• word picture of all the diversified characters of that section of the country where his stories are almost altogether set. To hear Ople Read is an opportunity not often presented and all Rensselaer should turn out and fill up the church.
