Big Blaze In Barkley.
A good bam on Benj. Harris’s farm in Barkley township was burned Monday night, and Will Daugherty the tenant, lost three good horses, about 8 tons of hay, 500 bushels of com, two plows, air his harness and other articles that were kept in the barn. The building was burned to the ground. The family had retired some time before the fire was discoverd, and when first seen the entire roof was ablaze and it was quite certain the fire had started in the mow. Neighbors were called and worked diligently I to keep the fire from spreading to other property. Mr. Daugherty had his stock and hay and grain insured in R. B. Harris’s agency and for enough to save him from material loss. The barn was insured in C. B. Steward’s agnecy, but it can not be replaced for twice the insurance. There is no clue as to how the fire started.
