Wingate To Be Here.
State Tax Commissioner John C. Wingate, who has been visiting neighboring counties to discuss the tax question, has written to County Assessor Lewis that he will be here on next Tuesday, Feb. 18th, and will address all those who wish to hear him, at 10 o’clock at the assessor’s office in the court house. He especially requests that the county treasurer, county auditor and prosecuting attorney be on hand, and urges others to come out. lie will explain the operation of the new tax law, and will tell all who come to hear him how difficult it will be toevade tax payment in the future. Township assessors are olbo urged to be present, as they will receive valuable pointers about the work they are soon to begin.
