JURY PROBES BANK FAILURE

Many Witnesses From Remington Testify Before Grand Jury In Failure of Parker Bank. The grand jury is examining a number of witnesses in the Parker bank matter today, and some fifteen people have been called over. the greatest amount of secrecy prevails and nothing is given oat aboaC the proceedings thus far. Among those in town was WJA. H. Clieadle, the recently elected trustee. He also had some business relating to the deposit of funds so far collected from the settlement <jf some notes, the State Bank of Rensselaer' having been selected as the depository b T, the bank examiner and trustee. Mr. Cheadle is evidently a man that will make the most out of .the nffetr for the dreditors, and he has taken right hold of the work with 4he determination to do all that he. can for those who had money In the bank. In an interview with the .Republican editor he said that there were no new and that he could make no estimate at this time as to what the bank woiiid eventually pay out He is asked abOut this subject many times a day 41 has answered all inquisitors in the same way, viz., that he can make no estimate now. - j*.
