LEOPOLD IS CHAIRMAN

Convention to Organize County CommittmXhooses Him and Elects . Dr.&annal Secretary. All but tour of the new committemen attended the reorganizing convention held in the east court room this Tuesday morning. March 16th was decided on as the date for. the county convention. The delegates to this convention will be selected Saturday, March 11th. the call will oe issued by the connty chairman.

There were two candidates lor county chairman, Moses Leopold and J, N. Leather man. Leopold received 9 votes and Leathefman 6 votes. | The latter was selected as vice chairman. For county secretary D-. H. J. Kanual received 9 votes, Geo. H. Healey 5 and A. J. Harmon 2. 0. G. Spitler was elected treasurer. ■ . The chairman of each committe is urged to supply Ohairman Leo pold or Secretary Kannal with the names of various precinct commit teemen at an early date. It is important that a complete record of these be kept. As far as has been ascertained the committee now is composed of the following members: Barkley—A. S. Freeman. Carpenter-A. A. Fell, Chas Bonner aud C. H. Peck. Hanging Grove — Jordan— Kankakee-Keener-7. M. Hart, D. E. Fairchild. Marion-H. J. Kannal, J. H. S. Ellis, Jesse Nichols, S. C Irwin. MilroyNeWton*rOhas. Hammond. Union—W. L. Wood, Chas. Halleck, Jas. McOolly. Walker—H. B. Brown. Wheatfield—J. P. Hammond. This list is incomplete, and the officers are anxious to get it entire with as little delay as possible.
