SOME CHANGES ARE NECESSARY
Friday Republican Hereafter All Home Print To Accommodate Advertising Demands. The Friday issue of the Republican, which is the eight page paper, and which bas employed the readyprint system for four of its pages for a great rnanj years, will, beginning with next week, become an all home print paper. The change js made necessary in order that the advertising contracts now being carried in both of the consolidated papers may be fulfilled. In view of this plan an order for five tons ot print paper was made Wednesday. This is by far the largest paper older ever made in Jasper county, and yet with the large combined circulation of the two papers the shipment will last less than a year. The fact that thej patent pi ges are being disposed of will in no sense depreciate the paper, for the services that will take it place will have more home and more state news and will be |a considerable improvement over the present plan. The increased advantage to tbs advertiser that will come from the combined circulation will doubtless appeal at once to the advertiser who wish (to reach all readers in Jasper connty. On next Tuesday the Republican will be sent to all Journal subscribers as well as to all Republican subscibers, and the subscriptions will be so adjusted as to give credit to all on the Republican [who have been taking both Jpapers. An effort will be made to avoid duplications, and if any subscribers by error are sent two papers, we shall lequest that we be uotified at once. AH advertising cod tracts and all orders for printiug will be carried out by the consolidated office. . The coalescence of the two papers has met general approval from both business men and the patrons of the papers, aud the new firm hope to so conduct the business as to deserve and maintain the tallest confidence of the public and to give a much better newspaper, both Daily and Semi Weekly than it Has ever been possible to give before.
