John Porter who for the past 12 or 13 years has been a substantial citizen of Parr died, at his home Safnfday night, of pneumonia. , He had been siok for sometime, suffering with a severe attack of grip bat a short time. ago he felt able to get up from his bed and dress as a resulthe took' a severe cold which eventually caused his death; ’ .
