A few years ago appendicitis was the popular disease-fad. Victims of that malady used to meet and exchange experiences. Now the appendectomy club has been overshadowed by a large and more numerous cult—to wit: the victims of reckless chauffeurs. Almost every other person you meet nowadays can tell you how It feels to be run down by a touring car and impaled upon the crank hanger of a six cylinder.
