More About The Grieser Boy.
In the mix-op that occared at the Pete Grieser home, near the depot, Wednesday, when Marshall Parks ond Deputy Sheriff O’Connor rescued the half-frozen little Grieser boy from his bed of rags in the attic of the chicken coop, the dining table was upset and many of the dishes broken. Mrs. Grieser, who seems to be at the bottom of the boy’s mistreatment, bit Maishal Parks on the arm and Pete struck him in the face. The little chap t was clad only in a gauze undershirt and ragged coat and trousers and 1 was chilled thru and thro. He was warmly dressed and properly fed after being taken to the jail, and he would be happy except for the tear that he will be returned to his iuhuman foster parents and that he will be compelled to earn money to pay for the dishes that were broken. Mrs. Grieser* a father is here from Elpaso, 111., and it is said he got the boy from an orphan’s home at Me tana ora, 111. It is understood that the Grieeere are very anxious to get the boy back, but the number oi stories told of their cruelty to to him should be sufficient to cause him to be kept from them, Bex. B. F. Ferguson, representative of the orphans’ home at Westfield, has decided to look after the boy, a&d he will probably be taken to that home in a day or two.
