Mrs. Ed Pngh has gone to Reynolds to spend the holidays with her parents. Miss Blanche Lickefhoff of Elkhart is visiting -with Miss Blanche McCarthy. Mis. Frank Foltz has gone to Omaha, Nebr., for a two weeks visit with relatives. Mrs. Eleanor Adams has gone to Chicago to spend the holidays wiih her son, Joe Lakey. Bror Carlson has returned to his home in Chicagof-after a visit with John Walter and family. Matthew Nesius and wile and Mrs. Katharine Smith are visiting with relatives in Chicago.

Misses Grace and Fame Haas have gone to Winamac to spend Christmas with relatives. Mrs. Kiuney is spending the holidays in South Bend with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Chilcote. Mrs. W. S. Parks and son Lloyd have gone to Kankakee, 111., for a few days’ visit with relatives. Jasper Fleming, living west of town, has been qnite sick for the past week with remittent fever. Beatrice Yates has gone to Hoopstou 111., to be present at the wedding of her cousin Miss Vera RjBB. Mrs. Henry Amsler has gone to Michigan City to spend the holi days with her daughter, Mrs. i L. Jones. Otto Anderson and family from the Walter Porter farm, have gone to Covington Ind., to visit a short time with relatives. * Emory Mallei assistant superintendant of tne Mancie wheel and jobbing company, is home to spend Christmas with his mother. Abe Hardy, who for several months has been in charge of a construction gang in the northwest has returned to his home in Bens selaer. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Thomas, of Chicago, are spending Christmas with J. H. Holden and wife, Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Holden being sisters

Rev. T. L. Ketman, D. D., of Chicago, will preach in the First Baptist church next Sunday morn ing and evening. A cordial invitation is extended to all. Joe Jackson has returned from Calgary, Alberty, Canada. Joe says the stars and stripes look good to him. An account of the Alberta country as Joe sees it will be published latar. Chas Sandifur will spend Christmas in Greencastle and from there he will go to Indianapolis to attend the annual session of the State Teachers Association which will begin Dec. 26th.

Mrs. F. P. Morton yesterday expressed two very fine Mammoth White Holland turkey hens to a fancier in Lynn, Ind. They were last spring birds and the pair weighed 41 pounds. Wm. Davis and wife, Madam Latosca, the ciarivoyant, have gone to Delphi, and Mr. Mills has moved the Bijon to the opera house, where Davis and the Wonderland show formerly held sway. It is a sort of combination of two big shows under one management, and Mr. Mills will run them under the ume of Bijou. Prospects are good for a big law suit over the dosing of the BaldwinDagne banks at Ambia, Fowler and Good land. It is understood that

Wahson and family. Prof. Bam Sparlidg has returned to bis work at the University of Wisconsin. He has been spending Christmas with his father. Mr. and Mrs. E F Mills, of Chicago, spent Christmas with relatives here, and Mrs. Mills remained for a few days’ lon, er visit. Joe O’Connor returded to Hammond this morniog alter a short Visit with his parents here. He is working in the big w. S. steel plant there. Forg Moore, of Hammond, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cheesman, of Royal Center, spent Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moore. Next Sunday evening, the Presbyterian choir and Sundiy School will repeat the contata which they gave Christmas eve. An offering will be taken lor the school. Every one invited.
