Some Interesting items from a correspondent to the Winaroac Re publican. , Edward Surfib, of Omaha, Neb. came home last week to attend the wedding of his brother Erueet. ■ Bros., who have pnr chased the hardware stock of B. F. Darrow, will move most of the stock so their other hardware store at Monterey James H. Parker, who fell from •-load of hay some two yeais ago and fractured the bones in one of his feet, is now in the hospital having his foot treated. Chesney Smith of Lafayette, who several years ago moved from Medary ville, was one of the twe men who did tbe excellent woik in (minting the inside of our Dew M. E. church. —->->■ — 4 ~—?. ' 1 Mrs. Jerome Massey returned last Satu 1 day from Hammond, where she nas been storing herfuiuiture, She and her family will make their home in Medaryvilkt, this winter. The financial condition in this section ol the country has bettered itselftc such an extent that our bankers have raised from paying ♦lO on each account three times per week, to $75.
Clarence Robinson, of Moore, Mont., and sister. Mis. Florence Faria,- of North Yakima, Wash., started for their homes ImE This day. They have taken their father Michael Robinson with them, snd ha will spend the winter there.
Charles H. Guild left last Tuesday morning for Stephen, Minn.,,to be gone about two weeks, to look ofter his 960 acre farm iu the Red River valley. John Dogberty and family left here several months ago and are living on part of this form and are pleased with the climate and country.
At the clot>e of the M. E. eh arch services Sunday evening, Dr. D. M. Wood surprised the congregation by announcing the coming marriage of the pastor, Rev. W. B. Wairiner, to Miss Emma Guild, the wedding to occur Dee. 25 at 2:30 p. m. at the M. E. church. All members oi Rev. Warriner’s church are invited to a reception at rhe home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R Guild.
The many friends of Miss Meta Zulick and Ernest Smith of this city wore surprised to learn oftheir marriage which occurred on the the bride’s parents. Rev. Branison of the Lutheran church, officiated. After the ceremony, which was attended onl) by the immediate rela trees, thegnests partook of a sumpt nous wedding feast. They will make their home on a farm west of town.
