DEATH OF MRS. DAVID NOWELS

Mrs. David Novels, so familiarly called “Aunt Ph *ebe” Nowels, died Saturday night or rather Sun-

day morning at 12:40 o’clock, after a sickness of more than a year, daring which she was very near to death on several occasions. She and herhnsband were among the first settlers of Jasper county .and an obituary recounting her life in Rensselaer will be published in a later issue of this paper. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 o’clock at the Methodist Episispal Church, Rev. George A. Beutz of Huucington, a minister of the Primitive Baptist Chuirch, to which deceased had belonged for more than seventy years, will preach the funeral sermon.
