Kentland Enterprise: Joe Wells, the strawberry king and marrying Squire of Lake tp., -straw-berries and weddings go well together-was in Eentland Saturday, and while moving with dignity around the corridors of the court house one John Macklenburg of Rensselaer and Miss Gertrude Rice of Mt. Ayr side stepped timidly up to the marriage license window. Now Mr. Wells didn’t need carfare home; but he did fell the need of a greater circulating medium up his way, and figured that it would do no harm to take a little easy money home.
