Hamann Petition Dismissed.

The petition of Fred Hamann, et al, to widen and deepen the three mile connection between the completed Kankakee improvement at tho junction of Jasper, Porter, LaPorte and Starke counties and the proposed Marble ditch, came np for hearing last Saturday. Attorney Cooke, of LaCrosse, and Foltz & Spitler, of Rensselaer, appeared for the petitioners, and Ray D. Thompson, assisted by Cbas. M. Sands appeared against them, and Judge Hanley held that he had no jurisdiction, the greater part of the ditch being in Porter connty. He dismissed the petition.
