Homeliest Men in the Senate.

Probably the homeliest man in the Sehate outside of Bourne, of Oregon, is Tillman, of South Carolina. When the latter is speakihg, however, he has a majesty of poise which impresses his audience. He was passing along the street one day and attracted the attention of-a member of Congress from California. ' “Whenever I see Tillman,” he sa|d, “I am reminded of a story in connection with Bill Foote, of San Francisco. Foote needed a shave one morning, and went into an Italian barber shop near the wharves. The Italian started to .scrape his face, and thought his subject winced. ~ , ’“Hurta?’ he asked.
