Death of John Collins’ Baby.
Louise, the 3 years’ old daughter of John Collins and wife, of Indianapolis, died Saturday morning at 11:30 o’clock of kidney trouble, and the afternoon train Sunday and taken to the home of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred O Alins, and the funeral held kst Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the M. E. church. Louise | was widely known 'in Indianapolis as the Sentinel baby. About two years ago the Indianapolis Sentinel conducted a baby beauty contest and little Ixjuise Collins was selected as the prize winner from the hundreds of contestants. The prize was a cash sum of $lO to start a Savings Bank account, and an annual deposit of 15 each year until the baby reached the age of 21 years. The little one was 3 years old on Oct 3rd, and had been in failing health since last summer when it had the measles. On last Saturday morning it seemed only a little worse and when John went home at noon, carrying a boquet of flowers for the baby he found that The parents are heart broken by the babies’ death.
