CITY COUNCIL MONDAY NIGHT
All members of the council preA petition for the narrowing of Rachel street was signed by I. J. Porter, et al, and the city attorney instructed to prepare resolution for the same. Superintendent Lucius Strong filed his report on the Division and Main street remodeling. It {stated that the contractors had completed the street according to motion passed at the meeting of the council on Nov. 13th. The report was accepted. . The fire chief filed a report for attendance jat Bab cock fire. Each member was allowed $1.50. J. C. Carmichael was granted permission to move the building occupied by his harness shop. He has not yet determined upon a lo cation, The resolution previously passed for the Division and Scott street improvement was confirmed and same will be improved with cement curb and macadam from Washing ton street to the gravel road. Resolution for improvement of Van Rensselaer street from Harrison to Grace streets was passed.
