FREE SCHOLARSHIP TO PURDUE

Agricultural Students Given Opportunity of valuable Education at this Splendid University. The Purdue university school of agricultural has opened its doors wide to the sons and daughters of Indiana farmery by offering free scholarship. In explanation Prof. J. H. Skinner dean of the school, says: . . . “The farmer boys of Indiana have an exceptional opportunity to acquire] a thoro scintific and practical education for the ’htelli gent and successful pursuit .of agriculture. Purdue university offers several excellent courses in agriculture. including the regular course of four years and short winter courses in agriculture’and horticul ture, animal husbandry’and dairying. _ ... - - _ - •‘To encourage the young people of Indiana to take these courses the authorities of Purdue have authorized county farmers oranization, including the Agricultural and Horticultural Society, the Fair Association and the Farmers’ Institute, also each formes’ clud and each grange, the elect two persons—young men or young women —to free annual scholarships in the school of agriculture. The women’s auxiliary of each county farmers’ institution association is also authorized to elect young women to these same courses in agriculture and also to the winter coure in household economics.” The winter courses begin Jan. 20 and continues eight weeks.
