BATTLE GROUND LOST 6 TO 0

Rensselaer had a difficult time in laying it over Battle Ground last Saturday, and the game was hardly np to the standard Morgan was shifted to end and Boss Porter took his place at half and the change did not work very well. Bice Porter was the only dependable ground gainer and he pat np a very brilliant game both in advancing the ball, at interference and at tackling. # Battle Ground was forced to kick on two occasions from behind its „ . goal line and had it not been for Walters’ fail are to pant the ball out Bensselaer might have foiled to win. Walters had plenty of time bat the ball went straight into the air and Bensselaer secured it on the 6 yard line and Porter took it over and Morgan kicked goal, :z: Battle,Ground was not heavy but played a determined gameand gave our boys about all they could handle. Only one or two substitutes were played in the game, and the Indianapolis Star report that a lot of substitutes beat Battle Ground was unfair to the visiting team, who met the regulars with only one or two exceptions.
