Hawkins & Allman, who had the contract lor the range line stone road in Jordan tp. between Remington and Rensselaer, and finished the same in November, 1907, have brought suit against the county for $398.41. The contract price for the road was $12,537 and this amount the contractors received bat, altliothe commissioners allowed the amount in sums aggregating the total asreccommended by the engineer during the fall the money was not paid until on April 18, 1907, and the contractors had to pay 8 per cent interest on borrowed money during the period between the comptetion of the work and the above date.
