Bnt very little damage was done in Monti cello Hallowe’en and, aside from the noise of the masqued revelers in the early evening, every thing was orderly. This is in marked contrast to the annoying pranks that nsed to prevail, and shows that in this, as in the abanment of the tom tom beaung and hideous bedlam of the old fashioned charivari, Monticello’s young people are attaining a higher state of civilization.—Monticello Democrat.
