Very pleasant weather for the time of year and Fair Oaks people are improving the opportunity to get 011 bare healed as long a 3 possible. Two or three new families in town. Chas. Warne has moved into the Dr. Proudley house and Noah Speace into the Hellsel house. Uncle Jimmie Blake and Wra. Hurley are still unable to get out of the house. John Call has moved his family into town from the Otis ranch and Wm. Tolley has moved to the Duffle ranch, 8 miles west of town. Wrtt. Warrens have made a cement walk along the front and side of their property, which is quite an improvment and which our citizens might do well to pat--tegß-after.- —— There was a box social at Chas. Halleck’s Saturday night for the benefit of the Christian church. It is reported a success, socially and financially. The young people of Fair Oaks and vicinity are trying to start an Epworth league here, and are expecting the M. E. minister down Saturday night to help thtm. The movement is a good one and we wish them success. Frank Huestead the day operator here, started Tuesday with his little son Clifford, for New York. He got a message telling him of the death of his father there. Mrs, Moore and Mrs. Brohard went to Rensselaer yesterday on business. David Winslow and family Oliver Brohard and family have moved to Hopkins Park, 111. Mr. Morrison, Suthern, Ind.. is filling Mr. Huestead’s place at the depot.
