GIRLS’ BREAD BAKING CONTEST

New Feature of Farmer’s Institute to Be Held Dec. 4th and sth. , To Be Sold at Auction. At the meeting of the township trustees Monday, it was decided to have a bread baking eontestin connlction with the boys’ corn club. This contest will be open to all school girls between the ages of 6 and 18 and will he held in connection with the County Farmers’ In stitute. Each contestant will pre sent a loaf of bread of her own bak ing which will be scored by an expert. Prizes will be offered for the first, second and third best in each township and then those snccessfnl in the township contest will enter

a county contest where prizes will be offered for the three best loaves. In the corn contest it was decided to pffer a county prize for the best single ear of corn and also a first, second and third prize for the best ten ears. The corn and bread will be sold to the highest bidder to help pay the expenses of the contest. All bread and corn sbould be entered by Wednesday morning, December 4. The bread will be scored on Wednesday and the corn on Thursday. All school children who have exhibits entered will be excused from school on the day on which their exhibit is scored. This will be bnt one of the many things that will make the Jasper County Farmer’s Institute worth while for the farmers of the -surrounding country to attend, December 4th and sth.
