Rev. D. R. Lucas Dead.
m Cfiafrtath D. R. Lucas, of Indi anapolis, is dead, and scores of his old comrades and those who have heard him speak at reunions over the state, will be sorry because he has passed away. He was a minister of the Chistian church and was a member of the 99th Indiana regiment. He was never long faced but carried good cheer and a message of smiles wherever he went. Soldiers thru out the state loved to see him at reunions. He always had a wealth of stories and appropriate poetry, both committed and original, at his command and to hear him speak was to be captivated by his enthusiasm and entertained at the same time by his many interesting tales. He was a brother of Mrs. Edgar D. Crumpacker, of Valparai so. Malarial fever cansed his death.
