R. W. Huflford, of the Lafayette Life Insurance Co., was here Mon day and paid over to Werner Miller SI,OOO, the amount of a policy the latter’s son, Joe Miller, carried in that company. Joe had taken out the policy in July, paying the first annual premium of $29.55 The unfortunate lad little thought at that time in less than three months death would overtake him, but he had expected to keep it up as an investment for himself.
