Obituary of George Sigler.

George Sigler was born in Lake County, Ind., July 23, 1840, and died at Mount Ayr, Indiana, Oct. 18, 1907, being 67 years,' 2 months and 25 days old at the time of his death. His father moved, to Wheeler, Porter county, Indiana, in 1859, where he engaged in the sale of general merchandise. George Sigler grew up from his early manhood as a dry goods merchant. He graduated from the M. E. Male and Female College of Valparaiso, Indiana in 1863, and was married to Miss Sarah J. Willey, January 1, 1864. To this union were born six children, three of whom, Mrs. Annie Haskell, of Chicago, Joseph R. Sigler and Miss Jean Sigler, ot Mount Ayr, and his wife, are left to mourn the lost of a most loving and devoted husband and father. In the death of Mr. Bigler the community will miss one from their midst whose character was above reproach. An enterprising business man whose honesty was without question. A neighbor who was ever genial and liberal to re heve burdens of the unfortunate. His highest aim was te provide honestly for the necessities of his home, where be could ever be fonnd as soon as his business hours closed, and this love of home made him love his country and the welfare of all men. REBOLUTIONB. At a meeting of the business men of Mt. Ayr, to take action on the death of Mr. Sigler, your committee finds as follows: Whereas, the grim monster, Death, has visited our midst and removed from among ns our esteemed brother, George Sigler. Whereas, we deem him worthy of our highest esteem, the following resolutions were adopted: Resolved, that in the death of George Sigler we have lost a most estimable citizen, an honorable and upright businessman, and a good neighbor, exact in all things. Resolved, that in his death a vacancy has occurred amongst us that fills our hearts with sorrow, and we do deplore his untimely de parture, and we do hereby extend to the bereaved family the sympathy and condolence of the community. Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved family, and for publication to the following papers: Kentland Enterprise, Rensselaer Republican, and Mt. Ayr Pilot Signed: J. M.
