War Until End of Time.
In a recent address in the army chapel on Governor’s Island, Bishop Henry C. Potter expressisl the belief that while the objects of The Hague conference were very beautiful, they were only a dream. ll* called the armies of the world'the police of the world, contending that their existence wms as necessary to the safety of the globe as was the existence of the police to the safety of a man in his horn* at night. He did not believe that peace would ever prevail, for, said he: “Until the last day of the earth there wiU be armies and there will be wars.”
