Another Gordon Escapade.
Matthew McNulty has recovered the horse and buggy stolen from him several months ago by a man who gave his name as Harry McDonald. The man hired the outfit to drive to the Travis stock farm and Mr. McNulty gave him Lady, an animal known to nearly everbody in town. McDonald was arrested a short time ago at Rensselaer for horse stealing and was taken to Kankakee, 111. Mr v McNulty went there to 8“e him but McDonald would not tell him what be had done 4 with Lady and the buggy. Mr. McNulty went to fee McDonald again Friday and the latter told him that the horse and buggy were near Galesburg. Mr. McNulty went to that place and succeeded in recovering his property.—LaFayette Journal.
