Wants Government to Pay.

Laporte dispatches state that Congressman E. D. Crumpacker, of this district, will be asked to make an effort to secure the passage of a bill by congress which will give financial.relief to Mrs. J. T. Keil, of Hanna, LaPorte county who was injured by being struck by a mail sack thrown from a Pennsylvania train at Hammlet. Mrs. Keil brought civil action for damages, but Judge McMahan, of the Porter circuit court, held last week that the postal employes are answerable to the governmentrand not to the railroad company, and his decision terminated the case. If the holds that the government is accountable, Congressman Crumpacker may succeed in obtaining relief for Mrs. Keil, who is the wife of a prosperous Hanna merchant.
