Calls Farmers’ Wealth Clean.
President John H. Stahl of Chicago, in his address before the opening business session, of the Farmers’ National congress at Okla homa City, Friday, congratulated the 1,000 delegates on the great ma terial progress of the year. He said: “Unlike that of the captains of high finance, stock manipulators-, buyers of governing officials, our wealth is clean. Every dollar made means that much more to feed and clothe mankind, that much more for comfort and happiness. “Our wealth is made in close copartnership with the Almighty Being. Our wealth is made in harmony with the laws of nature. Our wealth is wealth created, a gain, wealth where that much wealth did not exist before. “But we are not to be congratulated alone on our wealth; no other class is being so thoroly and widely educated in the broadest sense of the word; no other class has such provisions for education in its special work.” This is a worthy tribute to the farmer, who is the real producer of wealth, and he is entitled to toast his shins in the morning and read his daily paper with the real satisfaction of a work well done.
