Born to Mr. and Mrs. William Detsler, Oct. 9th a eon. Mrs. Bent Nelson visited relatives near Delphi last week. Mrs. Geo. Haskell and children visited in Logansport over Sunday. Everett Dobbins returned to Elwood last week to take charge of his school work. Chas. Bouner returned home Friday having spent the past two months in Dakota. Lile Fisher of. Lafayette visited his father and other relatives here Tuesday of last week. John Sullivan went to Indianapolis last week where he has a position in a furniture store. Mrs. C. W. Merritt and baby visited her sister Mrs. E. A. Benedict at Oxford last week. John Bartoo and wife went to White, S. Dak., last week to visit relatives for a lew weeks. Lillian Pfrimmer of Kentland visited Miss Edith Hand, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. David Foster returned to St. Louis Saturday, having spent the summer here with his mother. Airs. Edwin Lucas of Fowler visited her parents A J. Brooks and wife several days last week. Mrs. Geo. Chappell visited her sister Mrs. Fran k Hart and family at Wolcott a few days last week. Chas. Bunnell and wife of Homer, Mich., came Thursday to visit her uncle Harry Hartley and family. Miss Lauretta La ti more of Goodland was the guest of her sis ter Mrs. Napoleon Sigo over Sun-1 day. J. H. Biddle went to Logansport Monday of last week to take treat ment in a sanitarium for his rheumatism. Frank and A. G. Lucas and Earl Sullivan who have been in lowa the past month returned h ’me Tuesday. James Clowery 7 purchased the property now occupied by Hiram Pickering ot Mrs. Hattie Scripture last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand Houser of Indianapolis visited her parents Geo. Hemphill and wife, the first of last week. Mrs. Henr£ Harris returned home Tuesday to Platte, S. Dak., after a two weeks visit with her mother Mrs. Mary Warnock and daughters. Mrs. Hal Sheetz returned to Indianapolis Monday of last week after a weeas visit with her brothers Bert and Harry. Will Irwin and wife went to Sharpesville Monday of iast week lor a few weeks visit with Morton Bennett and wife. Mis. Belle Green left Monday of last week for Hankinson, N. Dak., to spend the winter with her son John and daughter Anna. Misses Lora Rhoades, Stella Hu flman and Flossie Starr of Rens selaer spent Thursday evening with Miss Mollie Shearer. James Clowery Jr. of Chicago and daughter Mildred visited his daughters Marie and Mabie at Indianapolis and Cicero several days last week. G. J. Thomas has purchased the Puckett property on south Ohio street and moved into same. James Hamilton has moved into property recently vacated by Chas. Elmore.
