An Annonymous Local Sherlock Holmes.

The following note was handed in to The Repubican office this morning: We have the party located that took the spoons at the Laßue anniversary. To save trouble they had better return them at once. A Friend. As the party that took the spoons was an invited guest at the Laßue home, on the occasion of their wedding anniversary and is there fore presumed to be of highly respectable social standing, the developements of this local sleuth apostle of A. Conon Doyle will be eagerly awaited. The volunteer detective is presumably a friend of the party under suspicion, and this notice is a friendly hint. The announcement of the name of the party now under the ban of suspicion would doubtless cause a great ripple in the social circles.
