State Without Saloons.
Prediction is made by the Rev. E. S. Shumaker, superintendent of the Indiana anti-saloon league, that Indiana will not have a licensed saloon by 1912. In discussing the league work he said: “Progress is being made in the temperance warfare all over the state. At Warsaw a remonstrance has just closed the last saloon ot that city. The last saloon has been closed in Lebanon, and Boone county is dry. There are eight dry counties and as many dry cities in the state. There is a dry population of 70,000. Within five years every licensed saloon in the state will have been driven out of its unlawful business.”
