Could Have Had D. A. R. Convention
Mrs. C. W. Coen.and Miss Bessie Moody, delegates, find Mrs. F. B. Meyer and Miss Clifford Moody, alternate delegates', have returned trom the state meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Bloomington. This city could have had the next state convention but the representatives from here were* little afraid that the work of entertaining the delegates might be too much and let the convention go to Muncie, bnt they left it open for this city to secure the convention in 1909, and will quite certainly go after it next year in earnest. The conventions of ths state are always attended by the wife of the vice-president, Mrs. Chas. W. Fairbanks, and this honor is alone sufficient to make the convention a desirable one. The state secretary is also always selected from Ike city where the succeeding convention is to be held. The visitors report a fine time at Bloomington.
