President Infield Injured.
President Geo. W. Infield of the Lafayette and Chicago electric railroad, is getting around with the assistance of a pair of cains now. His locomotion has all appearances of gout, a disease that is quite apt to attack bloated railroad magnates and but for his stern denial that his ailment is akin to rich feeding and riotious living we would have considered that the trouble. He explains, however, that while pulling up some trees at his farm north of town, he was struck by a piece of the tree pulling machine across the legs. But simply being absent the use of a pair or legs is not enough to keep President Infield layed up. He is up and at his railroad proposition. Of course, until the elections now pending to vote a tax subsidy in Carpenter tp. this oounty and Gilboa tp, Benton county, are decided, little can be accomplished, but when these matters are decided it is quite sore the pub lie can be made acquainted with what to expect and when to expect
