Mct’arrhy and wife. McColly & Coep are today beginning the erection ol a two room addition to John Smith, the painter’s residence, north of the railrnadr Oct. 9. This is the anniversary of the great Chicago fire. The year was 1871. Sheriff O’Connor was living in Chicago at the time and heard the first alarm. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hopkins ar rived home yesterday evening from Chicago, where they went immediately alter their marriage last Saturday. They will reside until Nov. Ist with the bride’s parents, and after that time will occupy Miss Maude Spitier’B home as heretofore stated.
Mrs. R. W. Marehali, of Santa Cruz, Calif., and daughter Miss Kate Marshall, of St. Paul Minn., arrived here today, to arrange io ship the balance of their household goods to the west at the same time G. E. Marshall and Chas. Hansen ship thier goods. They will be here lor about two week. Mrs. Geo. E. Marehali and son Tess went to Remington today to remain for two weeks at the home of her mother, Mrs. Bartoo. Miss Lucile Marehali is visiting Mrs. Mabel Huff Simmons, at Indianapolis, and Miss Star Marshall will remain with girl friends in Rensselaer. Mr. Marshall will remain here closing up his business affairs. The family will leave from Rensselafr on the afternoon of Oct. 24th forYhe fu'ure home in Medford, Oregon.
