W. S. Parks Truant Officer.

The township trustees in session Monday accepted the resignation of John Barce, the county truant officer, who was unable longer to serve in that capacity because of his absence from the county. The names of two candiatea was presented to the trustees, those of W. S. Parks, city marshal of Rensselaer, and George Swisher, of Kankakee tp. The result was 10 vote's for Parks and 3 for Swisher.X Mr. Pares is a well qualified officer in the position he has been filling for the past two years, and there will be no donbt that he will make a good truant officer also, without in any manner interfering with his position as marshal.
