Newton County Grand Jury.

Several young men living in Rensselaer have been subpoenaed to appear before the Newton county grand jury Tuesday of next week, and as these young men are alleged to have frequently visited the Thayer bar rooms on Sundays, it is presumed they will be asked to testify against the proprietors of those saloons in the'matter of violation of the Sunday closing laws. The notice has had the effect of throwing a mighty big 6care into not only those whose presence is required but into others who have visited the river region for a little Sabbath irrigation.
